Here we can listen to Agahan Abdullaev accompanied by an ensemble under the direction of Bahram Mansurov and Aliguli Ahmedov with Firhuddin Aleskerov on tar, Elman Badalov on kemanche and Vardan Avetisov on daf. Abdullaev sings the mugam rast while Ahmedov sings mahur-hindi.
Another good production by Melodiya for mugam lovers.

Here's an astonishing cassette by Abdullaev! It's one of my favorite musical things ever, I've heard it about 50 times already and I just fall in love with this cassette more and more with each consecutive listen! If mugham and this awesome Melodiya LP are your cup of tea, then this will be too, I think. :)
Hi ! thanks for that link to Abdullaev's tape. I visit from time to time that excellent site ''oriental-traditional-music.blogspot.com'' but I missed Abdullaev's stuff ... So thanks again; Alem Qassimov is not the only good singer in Azerbaijan; another one I find rally mighty was Khan Shushinsky.
